Abounding Grace

"Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound.
But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign
 through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord."
~Romans 5:20-21~

Grace is ... a boundless offering of God's self to us,
suffering with us, overflowing with tenderness.
Grace is God's passion.

Amazing Grace

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life. For God sent not
 his Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name
of the only begotten Son of God."
~John 3:16-18~

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind but now I see.

The Beauty of Grace

“Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem Him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon Him;
and with His stripes we are healed.”
~Isaiah 53:4-5~

The beauty of grace –
our only permanent deliverance from guilt –
is that it meets us where we are
and gives us what we don’t deserve.

By His Grace

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth
to be a propitiation through faith in His blood,
to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins
that are past, through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness:
that He might be just, and the Justifier
of him which believeth in Jesus.”
~Romans 3:23-26~

Grace is a costly gift and it is most needed when it is least deserved.
