How Deep

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution,
or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long;
we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors
through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers,
nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

~Rom 8:35-39~

How deep the Father's love for us
How vast beyond all measure,
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure.

To Open or Not To Open

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock;
if any man hear my voice, and open the door,
I will come in to him, and will sup with him,
and he with Me."

~Revelation 3:20~

yesterday, and to day, and for ever."

Stronghold

"The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and He knoweth them that trust in Him."

~Nahum 1:7~

If the Lord be with us, we have no cause of fear.
His eye is upon us, His arm over us, His ear open
to our prayer - His grace sufficient,
His promise unchangeable.

The Unchangeable

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever."
~Hebrews 13:8~

Our feelings do not affect God's facts.
They may blow up, like clouds, and cover the
eternal things that we do most truly believe.
We may not see the shining of the promises -
but they still shine! [His strength] is not for
one moment less because of our human weakness.

Follow On

"Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day."

~Psalms 25:4-5~

Living a life of faith means never knowing
where you are being led. But it does mean
loving and knowing the One who is leading.
It is literally a life of faith... a life of knowing
Him who calls us to go.

~Oswald Chambers~
