A Broken Heart

I Am Thankful

I Am Thankful

Father, I am thankful

For those placed in my life,

For those who walk beside me

In this world of strife.

For those who laugh in times of joy,

For those who share my tears.

For those I met just yesterday,

For those I’ve known for years.

Father, I am thankful

For those who bear me up.

For those who help me even when

Life serves a bitter cup.

For those who urge me find Your strength

Who help me seek Your face,

For those whose hand will push me on

To faithfully run my race.

Father, I am thankful

For those who brighten my day,

For those who bring Your sunshine

As I walk in Your way.

For those who have trod with me

My whole journey through,

For past friends and for present,

For these, Lord, I thank You.
